“I am fascinated by the language of movement and form of the construction machines. The thunder of the engines, the trembling of the surrounding earth, and machines ability violently move even large objects out of their way. On the other hand, their gentleness and precision in how they move even the smallest rocks to their desired places. The machines are full of details, wires, cables, switches that I can't name... and sometimes they are so much like large colorful mammals! When I paint picture of machine, I replace its sharp, violent-looking angles by softening them, making it more like a sad and sweet iron giant.”
